From Turtagrø you have to get into Helgedalen. From there you can choose whether you want to go via Fannaråken (which is an extra 2 hours) to get a 2000-metre peak on the way. It is also possible to book accommodation at Fannaråkshytta - if you start from td Turtagrø a little late in the day. Alternatively, you can walk through Keisarpasset - a beautiful walk that takes you from high mountain terrain to forest terrain before crossing the bridge over Utla on the way to Skogadalsbøen . Overnight at Skogadalsbøen or in a tent.

Time estimate: long day's march from 7 hours +

Day 2:

The tour goes through beautiful terrain from Skogadalsbøen over Friken down to Fleskedalen and on to Vettismorki. Here you should take the time to walk via the new viewpoint over Vettisfossen on the way to Vetti. This day offers a long day's march (6-8 hours) on partly steep downhill slopes, so you might consider a night at the new DNT hut at Vettismorki to break up the stage a bit. Otherwise, we recommend overnighting at the idyllic Vetti Gard in Utladalen .

One can choose to go all the way to Hjelle where the car is parked - and thus make the trip in 2 days, but we recommend adding an extra night either at Vettismorki or at Vetti Gard for the experience itself.

Day 3:

Enjoy a long breakfast and continue your journey through the countryside. Utladalen to Hjelle From Vettismorki you should expect 2-2.5 hours to the parking lot at Hjelle From Vetti Gard should take a good hour. Remember to relax and enjoy the last stage through this unique valley. Feel free to stop by Utladalen Nature House and take in the exhibition there - which will tell you everything you need to know about the cultural landscape, West- Jotunheimen and Utladalen .
