Paradisjuvet is a great and easily accessible hike with impressive views of Årdal and the surrounding mountain landscape. The hike takes you through varied nature to the dramatic gorge, which has been given its name for good reason.
From Årdalstangen you drive to Seimsåsen. From Seimsåsen ski and activity center you walk south on a well-marked trail. The trail follows nice terrain to the grill hut at Brenderei. From this hut you can walk out to the edge of Paradisjuvet and get a great view of the Sognefjord.
From the "old Skihytta" you head south on a well-marked trail. The trail goes through partly easy terrain under Mastrehaugfjellet, to "bui på Brennderei", or "Padlebu" as the hut was called.
From the cabin you can take a trip out to Paradisjuvet , or up to Brennfjellet. Here you get a panoramic view of Vikadalen, Årdalsnosi, Middagshaugane and several mountain peaks in the direction of Lærdal.
