The Sjølve road is an old gravel road that was first a construction road, then a summer road over the mountain, but is now closed with a barrier at Rausdalssvingen. When you reach the 1000-meter mark, you have a panoramic view of Hurrungane with Storen (Store Skagastølstind) in front. You also have a good view of Bøttejuv, Nundalen, Fardalen and Utladalen from here.
