Winter paddling

Experience the Sognefjord from a kayak even in winter. Bulder & Brak Opplevingar arranges winter kayaking tours in Årdal all winter long! A rare winter landscape awaits you.

Important information:

You will need plenty of warm clothing to be out all day in sub-zero temperatures. Bulder & Brak Opplevingar provides all necessary paddling equipment including dry suits with gloves and hood. The tours are set up as half-day tours of about 3-4 hours in total. The difficulty level is easy, and no prior knowledge is required to join this tour.

In addition, you need:

  • Two pairs of thick socks to wear on your legs inside the drysuit

  • Change of clothes in wool

  • Windproof jacket/anorak and trousers

  • Thick wool sweater/fleece/down

  • Scarf, hat, two pairs of gloves/mittens, extra wool socks
