Vettisfossen

Vettifossen is the highest protected waterfall in Northern Europe with a free fall of 275 meters. Vettifossen has been voted Norway's most beautiful waterfall - and not without reason! The most common way to experience the waterfall is by walking the Folkevegen to Vetti, and then continuing on the path to the waterfall. This usually takes 3-4 hours. The way up is rich in nature experiences. The waterfall is also known from literature.

In the book "Under the big one" Jan Schwarzott writes:
"Because by appearing uniquely handsome, you know Vettisfossen "a wealth of opportunities for experiences that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Despite its enormous dimensions, the Queen can be seen from every conceivable angle, always with an unobstructed view of the entire cliff face."
